Daniel Brown is set to compete next month in Argentina on the Junior World USA Team for pro inline speed skating for his second consecutive year.

I’ve never raced in a more beautiful race,” men’s winner Carlos Perez said through an interpreter. “I’m always very concentrated on what I’m doing, but it helped me a lot to relax looking around and seeing the surroundings.

The Florida woman also spent most of August training for a 26-mile inline skating marathon Saturday in Minnesota to raise funds for her doctor’s cancer research, all while receiving regular chemotherapy. Her resolve is a far cry from the woman she was that December night, angered and in disbelief.
